VakıfBank, VB of VolleyBall

VakıfBank Sports Club (Turkish: VakıfBank Spor Kulübü) is a Turkish volleyball club based in Istanbul, Turkey. VakıfBank Sports Club, currently one of the best volleyball teams in the world, 3 time winner of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship and quadruple CEV European Champions League winner. The yellow-black team is also the most successful sports team of its country in International arena with the title of the most international trophy holder of Turkey. The team was established following a merger between two separate teams: VakıfBank and Güneş Sigorta. VakıfBank was originally an Ankara-based team but moved to Istanbul after the merge.

Legendary moments

With 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2018 CEV Champions League titles (unbeaten), VakıfBank is “The first and the most Champions League trophy holder of Turkey”. Beside these, by winning of 73 victories in all national and international competitions in a row from 23 October 2012 to 22 January 2014, VakıfBank has settled in the Guinness World Records. Also in 2013 VakıfBank succeed to win every trophies as undefeated. As of January 23, 2014, the team holds a 73-games winning streak record in domestic and international official competitions. VakıfBank won all 52 official games played during the 2012–13 season and all 51 official games played in the year 2013. The team collected all five championship trophies in 2013, being the only club in volleyball history to have achieved this feat. VakıfBank also won all titles in season 2017-2018. (CEV Champions League, Turkish League, Turkish Cup, Turkish Super Cup) They won the 2013, 2017 and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, the CEV Top Teams Cup in 2004 and CEV Challenge Cup in 2008.
