The first set of the match was very contentious, VakıfBank played strongly in the last part of the set and took the lead 1-0 with a score of 25-22. The yellow blacks started weel to the second set and maintained the lead throughout the set. They brought the game to 2-0 with 25-13. VakıfBank won the last set 25-21 and got the 13th 3-0 win in the league.
Derya Cebecioğlu was the top scorer in VakıfBank with 12 points; Paola Egonu scored 9, Chiaka Ogbogu and Gabi 7 points, and Aleksia Karutasu 6 points.
VakıfBank will compete in the CEV Champions League semi-finals in the next match. The last champion, who is in the semi-finals for the 11th time in a row, will host Fenerbahçe Opet on Thursday, April 6 at 19.30.
