Born on April 15, 1995 in New Jersey, USA, Chiaka Ogbogu started volleyball at the University of Texas, one of the American College League teams. Ogbogu later signed with Italy representative II Bisonte Firenze and turned professional. Playing for Chemik Police, Imoco Conegliano and Eczacıbaşı, the US player won the Polish Cup with Chemik Police in the 2018-2019 season, the 2019 Italian Super Cup with Imoco Conegliano, the 2019 FIVB Club World Championship, the 2019-2020 Italian Cup championship and in 2020 she won the Turkish Super Cup with Eczacıbaşı. Ogbogu won the 2018 Pan-American Cup championship, the FIVB Nations League championship in 2018. She became the 2019 NORCECA Continental Championship runner-up and the 2019 FIVB World Cup runner-up with the USA National Team jersey. The middle player was in the USA squad at the 2020 Olympic Games and won the gold medal.
