Giovanni Guidetti: “We believe in ourselves and know we are capable of playing good volleyball”
VakıfBank Head Coach Giovanni Guidetti made the following comments in his pre-match assessment: “It will be a very tough game. They have world and Olympic champion players on their squad; they have the MVP of the last Olympics and the World Championship, and they are truly a great team. Playing against Paola Egonu is never easy. They also have one of the best middle-blocker duos in the world. We believe in ourselves and know we are capable of playing good volleyball, but we also know that it won't be easy. That’s why we need to prepare very thoroughly.”
Tijana Boskovic: “We know it will be a tough game”
VakıfBank's experienced opposite Tijana Boskovic spoke ahead of the Milano game: "We will play our first game in Milano, and we know that whether we win or lose, it doesn't decide everything, as we still have the second game in Istanbul. However, of course, we want to win to gain an advantage before returning home. We know it will be a tough game; Milano is a great team that deserves to be in the finals, just like us. Despite that, we believe we can win. We have worked hard over the last period to improve our game, and I believe we will play some good volleyball."
