VakıfBank parts ways with five players

VakıfBank has parted ways with Ayça Aykaç Altıntaş, Derya Cebecioğlu, Sıla Çalışkan, Chiaka Ogbogu, and Adhu Malual ahead of the new season.

Following a spectacular season crowned with victories in the CEV Champions League,
Sultanlar Ligi, and Kupa Voley, VakıfBank has announced a roster reshuffle ahead of the new season, parting ways with five players.

Ayça Aykaç Altıntaş

Having joined VakıfBank’s youth academy in 2009 and having been promoted to the senior
team in the 2014–15 season, the experienced libero became one of the most decorated
players in club history. She collected 24 titles, including 3 FIVB Club World Championships, 5 CEV Champions League titles, 7 Sultanlar Ligi titles, 5 Kupa Voley trophies, and 4 Şampiyonlar Kupası titles.

Derya Cebecioğlu

Having been promoted to the senior squad in the 2018–19 season, the outside hitter
achieved major success with the club, winning 2 FIVB Club World Championships, 3 CEV
Champions League titles, 4 Sultanlar Ligi titles, 3 Kupa Voley trophies, and 1 Şampiyonlar
Kupası.

Sıla Çalışkan

After starting her career at VakıfBank and gaining experience elsewhere, the setter returned to the team to contribute to another successful campaign. In her time with the club, she secured 1 CEV Champions League title, 2 Sultanlar Ligi championships, and 1 Kupa Voley trophy.

Chiaka Ogbogu

The U.S. middle blocker concluded her highly successful second stint with the club. Across
both spells, Ogbogu won a total of 10 trophies with VakıfBank, including 1 FIVB Club World Championship, 2 Sultanlar Ligi championships, 3 CEV Champions League titles, 3 Kupa Voley trophies, and 1 Şampiyonlar Kupası.

Adhu Malual

The Italian opposite joined VakıfBank and quickly became an integral part of the
championship-winning squad. In her short stint, she contributed to victories in the CEV
Champions League, Sultanlar Ligi, and Kupa Voley before departing at the end of the
campaign.
