VakıfBank host Milano for a place in the Final Four

Six-time Zeren Group CEV Champions League winners VakıfBank, which has won all five of its games, will face Vero Volley Milano in the second leg of quarter final. VakıfBank takes 3-2 lead into second leg against Milano. The game will be played on Thursday, March 19 at 08:00 PM in VakıfBank Spor Sarayı. VakıfBank Head Coach Giovanni Guidetti, speaking ahead of the match, stated: “Milano is one of the toughest opponents we could face. It’s going to be a challenging match, but we are ready for the battle.”

Six-time champions and the most successful club in the CEV Champions League’s history, VakıfBank, will face Vero Volley Milano in the secong game of quarter final.  The game will be played on Thursday, March 19 at 08:00 PM in VakıfBank Spor Sarayı.  The game will be refereed by Pedro Lopes Pinto (Portugal) and Sabine Witte (Switzerland).

Giovanni Guidetti: “We know it will be a tough game, but we are ready”

We are facing a powerful team in great form, with an opposite hitter performing at an elite level. Milano is one of the toughest opponents we could face, but we are in a strong position ourselves. We are ready for them, while knowing exactly how challenging this game will be.”

Zehra Güneş: “We fight until the end”

VakıfBank captain Zehra Güneş, speaking ahead of the return leg, stated: “We started the series with an advantage and will play the return match at home. However, we want to maintain the same mentality, playing as if the score is 0-0, fighting from the first point to the last to secure our place in the Final Four. Milano is a very strong team. We must be solid in every aspect of the game and sustain that intensity until the very end. We’ve focused on the topics where we struggled in the first game and worked on them. I believe the second leg will be much better. I hope that, with the support of our fans, we can book our place in the Final Four.”
