VakıfBank opened their championship journey with a dominant start, defeating Fenerbahçe Medicana 3-0 in an away victory during the first game of the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi play-off finals. Tijana Boskovic led the way with 22 points, while Marina Markova added 11, with both players finishing in double digits.

Defending Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi champions VakıfBank opened their championship journey with a dominant start, defeating Fenerbahçe Medicana 3-0 in the opening game of the play-off finals.

After a 3-3 tie in the opening set, VakıfBank went on a 3-0 run and maintained their lead throughout. Led by Tijana Boskovic’s 8 points and 4 team blocks, VakıfBank took the first set 25-18 in 25 minutes. The second set remained balanced until the final points, where VakıfBank committed fewer errors. With scoring contributions from six different players and 9 points from Boskovic, they won the set 25-23 to lead 2-0. VakıfBank closed out the match by taking the third set 25-22 for a 3-0 overall victory.

VakıfBank has now secured six consecutive league victories against Fenerbahçe Medicana. Following two wins in the regular season and three victories in last season's play-off finals, their latest win marks their sixth straight defeat of their rivals.

With the victory over Fenerbahçe Medicana, VakıfBank has extended its winning streak in official matches to 20. During this period, the team secured 13 consecutive wins in the Sultanlar Ligi and remained undefeated in 4 CEV Champions League fixtures.
