VakıfBank took a 2-0 lead in the Vodafone Sultans League final series. The yellow-blacks, who defeated Fenerbahçe Medicana 3-1 away in the series, will declare their championship if they get another win in the series. VakıfBank took a huge step towards the championship in the Vodafone Sultans League final series. By defeating Fenerbahçe Medicana 3-1 away, the yellow-blacks brought the score to 2-0 in the final. The first set started with a fierce competition and it was won by Fenerbahçe 25-22, while VakıfBank stood out with its performance in the rest of the match. VakıfBank, achieved a score of 19-18 in the balanced 2nd set, then brought the score to 24-19 with a 5-1 series, and won the 31-minute set 25-20 to tie the score at 1-1. Kiera Van Ryk scored 9 points in this part. VakıfBank, who showed a resilient game in both defense and offense in the 3rd set, brought the score to 23-15 with a 7-1 series after 16-14. The yellow-blacks won the set, played by Marina Markova with 8 points, 25-19 and took the lead 2-1. The 4th set that was a scene of great excitement and VakıfBank won with 25-23, winning the match 3-1. The team gained a great advantage for the championship.
