Dear VakıfBank family and volleyball fans,
Having its name written with golden letters in Turkish and world sports with the trophies it has won, the culture it has built, and many talents it has raised for 40 years, VakıfBank Sports Club has achieved another hard-to-surpass success by becoming the best in Europe for the 7th time.
In a manner worthy of our title as “the team with the most international championships in Türkiye,” we have brought our 13th global title to our country. We concluded the season at the top, just as we desired and, in a way befitting VakıfBank. Achieving this through an all-Turkish final made it even more meaningful and beautiful. Sharing the final with our esteemed rival Eczacıbaşı was as much a source of pride as the championship itself.
I congratulate our champion players, our technical staff, and my fellow executives, who reflected the VakıfBank spirit on the court in the best way throughout the season and never let go of the fight. I also extend my thanks to our fans who supported us in the halls, on social media, and in front of screens all around the world.
First, we finished the Sultanlar Ligi as leaders, then we won the Kupa Voley Cup. In April, we declared our championship in the Sultanlar League after a magnificent final series. Now, in our own country, in our own city, we have once again become the best in Europe for the 7th time. I sincerely thank our athletes for once again proclaiming the strength of Turkish women to the world. I also express our gratitude to our President, state officials, sports clubs, and everyone who kindly congratulated us on our championships.
Türkiye is among the leading schools of women’s volleyball in the world. Our clubs and national teams always make our country proud. As a result, we grow stronger through local competition and succeed in becoming the best in Europe. I would like to thank the Turkish Volleyball Federation, especially its President Mehmet Akif Üstündag, for their contributions to this competition and development.
Dear volleyball fans, with our 6th CEV Champions League title, we had entered the Guinness World Records for the third time. Now, with our 7th championship, we are experiencing the joy of improving our own record. With this championship, we also say “hello” to our new 7-star logo. May the 7-star VakıfBank logo be auspicious.
Now our girls will wear our glorious national jersey with pride in the national team season. We believe they will show the same determination they displayed during the club season and return home with new achievements. On this occasion, I wish success to the “Sultans of the Net.”
Our main goal is to ensure that girls grow up as strong individuals, beneficial to society. We wholeheartedly believe in the healing and unifying power of sports for a healthy family and a healthy society. As VakıfBank, we celebrated our 72nd anniversary this year and brought significant resources to our women entrepreneurs in collaboration with international financial institutions, starting with the World Bank. Just as we support women in sports, we will also support them in the field of economy, opening their paths and continuing to remove their obstacles.
May our 7th European championship once again be beneficial and auspicious for our entire country. I extend my greetings to all sports fans, hoping to meet again on volleyball-filled days and new successes.
