Dear Volleyball Fans

I would like to congratulate our team for finishing the 2024-2025 season, which was a “reborn” season for us, as champions, and I extend my thanks to everyone who contributed, especially our technical staff and players. As we say “hello” to the new season, I warmly greet our fans who have never left our side, with love and respect.

As VakıfBank, our goal is to reach the top by facing challenges head-on under any circumstances. The greatest motivation that allows us to achieve this is the VakıfBank spirit and culture that we have been weaving meticulously for 40 years. As we enter our 40th season, we continue our journey with tenacity and commitment to take VakıfBank to the top both in Turkey and on the international stage.

While carrying out transfer activities for the new season, we worked carefully with our technical staff and aimed to bring in the most important players who would strengthen our team. In this context, I would like to welcome Tijana Boskovic, Katarina Dangubic, Nehir Kurtulan, Berka Buse Özden, Lorenne Teixeira, and Helena Cazaute to our team this season. I also welcome Chiaka Ogbogu, who has returned to our team after a one-season break, back to her home. With these new additions, I am confident that the VakıfBank family will be even stronger this season.

We made significant reinforcements to our team during the summer. At the same time, we fully leveraged the advantage of being among the teams with one of the world’s most successful youth development systems. Out of 17 players of our team, 7 players have risen through our own youth academy. We take pride in this unparalleled ratio among competitive teams.

Our club is among the most successful and important teams in the history of volleyball. However, as we always say, there is no “yesterday” in sports. A challenging season awaits us. Having started the 2025-2026 season with the Champions Cup, our goal is to be at the top in every competition we participate in. I know our athletes will give their very best on the court with the usual determination and drive.

On the path we embarked on 40 years ago to share the dreams of young girls, as a club that has trained hundreds of athletes for national teams, we are also especially proud of the final played by our Turkish National Women’s Volleyball Team at the FIVB World Championship. While we take joy in having our mark on every milestone of Turkish volleyball, I once again congratulate all stakeholders who contributed to this success.

Our fans are our greatest strength and our strongest asset. We feel their support in every arena, with every point, and in every match. This season, with the same faith, we will make our fans proud and walk together toward new victories.

I wish a healthy, injury-free, and successful season to everyone, starting with our teams representing our country in European competitions.
