Marina Markova, born on January 27, 2001, in Russia, began her volleyball career in the youth academy of
Leningradka Saint Petersburg, where she played from 2016 to 2019. She then played at
Syracuse University from 2019 to 2022, followed by a season at the
University of Florida in 2022-2023.
At the beginning of the 2023-2024 season, Markova joined the Turkish League team
Muratpaşa Belediyesi but finished the season with
Igor Gorgonzola Novara. With Novara, she won the
CEV Challenge Cup and played semifinals of the
Italian League. During the summer of the same season, she played for
Jakarta Electric PLN in Indonesia. Ahead of the 2024-2025 season, the outside hitter joined
VakıfBank. Markova won one Turkish League championship with VakıfBank.
